Job Description

Reports to Palomar's CNE. Handles a wide variety of complex system-wide and/or divisional functions and confidential situations. Heavy calendaring, meeting coordination and experience with minute taking. Experience with contract management as well as regulatory management and coordination. Knowledge of budget preparation. Self-directed and independent worker. Proficient in MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PP, etc.

Job Description:
Relieves the Executive in order to increase the time available for executive level responsibilities.
Handles a wide variety of complex systemwide and/or divisional functions and confidential situations.
Resolves conflict Involving the clerical and administrative functions of the office.
Facilitates special projects and/or key Initiatives for the organization.
Responsible for providing leadership to a team committed to achieving specified goals of a project and/or initiative, exercising independent judgment to achieve the desired outcome.
Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
Prepares routine and advanced correspondence including letters, memoranda, and reports.
Calls on one or more lower level secretaries for assistance on a per project basis.
Familiar with a variety of the organization's concepts, practices and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Possess ability to make sound and logical decisions.

Possess or ability to obtain California Notary certification.
Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, intemet, e-mail).
windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the Job.
Performs other duties as assigned.
