What The Role Is

The Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement is responsible for leading and managing the continuous improvement (CI) efforts of the organization. This includes identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in all areas of the business, such as operations, quality, safety, and customer service. The Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement will also work to create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

This role leverages knowledge of how economic, financial, operational and process factors influence an organization's long-term success. This includes structured problem solving for complex and ambiguous issues, tracking key financial data, analysis of business processes, superior oral and written communication of recommendations, and meticulous project management. The Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement will receive regular professional development and feedback and be expected to grow as a future leader.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Establish Process Improvement & Operational Excellence goals and objectives across the organization
  • Serve as the company champion for Business Excellence, promoting Lean thinking throughout the business
  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities across the combined corporate and operating platforms
  • Understand key business drivers, uses this understanding to prioritize work
  • Deploy tools and methods to eliminate loss & waste (ex: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizens, Gemba Walks)
  • Develop and implement improvement plans and future-state processes in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Measure and track improvement results with a project management approach
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify areas of improvement and derive countermeasures
  • Train and mentor employees on Continuous Improvement principles and practices
  • Partner with resources across the company to execute improvement projects to achieve business needs
  • Identify and nurture operational excellence talent within and outside the organization, including early career programs
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Ops Management) or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of management experience in continuous improvement, operations management, or related roles
  • Proficient in lean six sigma tools/concepts and quality management tools, such as value stream mapping
  • Proven project management capabilities
  • Demonstrates an understanding of general business principles
  • Communication and leadership - rapidly build trust and exercise influence without authority, demonstrated success through high relational skills, deep listening, effective assertion, and self-awareness
  • Ability to navigate across functions to find allyship and achieve best project & business outcomes
  • Strong and demonstrated comprehension of business concepts and tools (financial statements, break-even, cost benchmarking, pricing, sensitivity analysis, NPV, ROI, etc.)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communicator with ability to explain complex information clearly and succinctly and tailor message to audience
  • Ability to assertively solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Able to prepare compelling, high-impact presentations for senior organizational leaders, financiers, and other strategic and functional stakeholders and business partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, have a bias for action, and deliver results
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Ability to uphold standards of complete discretion and confidentiality as well as exercise good judgement and integrity in day-to-day decisions
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, is highly motivated and has the ability to maintain a culture that is based on teamwork, respect and integrity

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations
$126,000$170,000 USD
