Primary Responsibilities
The Principal Transportation Project Manager in San Diego plays a significant role in sustaining and elevating HDR's Transportation Program. At HDR, Southern California has been identified as one of the five mega regions in the country in our 2022 Unrivaled Plan. Essential to the focused and strategic development plan for Southern California is realizing and positioning the right resources for the identified leadership roles in the program.
The primary roles and responsibilities of the Principal Transportation Project Manager is to represent and assist HDR in growing the Southern California transportation program through the delivery of several types of project scope and program phases including planning, design and construction of large multi-discipline programs, projects or medium sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, typically in excess of $20 million fee and involving a large program/project staff. The types of projects include light rail transit, bus rapid transit, heavy rail, and high speed rail. By use of their own relationships and leveraging HDR's resources, this position will pursue and win transportation projects and will be responsible to manage and deliver the projects. The expected compensation range for this position is $150,000- $223,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.
