Raymond West is looking for a Stockroom Rack Clerk to join our team! The Stockroom Rack Clerk is responsible for maintaining an accurate and complete inventory of all assets that are stored in the RW lot, monitoring all rack movements of product and ensures that each shipped or received item is properly identified and tagged.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.

Receiving Duties:

  • All assets delivered to the lot of the warehouse will be identified as to ownership.
  • All assets will be properly tagged according to the RW tagging procedure. All racking product has to be individually tagged.
  • All paperwork, bill of ladings etc. will be forwarded to the proper department.
  • All paperwork will be signed by the customer for proof of delivery.
  • The clerk will verify that the items received match items on the paperwork/BOL for quantity and/or serial number. Report any discrepancies.
  • Any damages to incoming product must be noted with driver of delivery company.
  • No item will be moved from the lot prior to steps 1-5 being completed.
  • The clerk will not allow truck drivers to move assets from the dock area without confirming that steps 1-5 have been completed.
  • Report any damage found on incoming assets to the respective department immediately.
  • Report any department that does not provide proper and timely paperwork for items coming into the warehouse.
  • Work with Parts manager to receive new and used racking orders.
  • Maintain all racking materials in correct locations in the lot.
  • Safely load and unload product

Warehouse Inventory Control Duties:

  • Each asset will be stored in the appropriate area within the warehouse.

  • Maintain accurate records of material that has been received or ship.
  • Perform various duties that are directly or indirectly associated with company activity, as assigned.
  • Perform cycle counts for rack products based on a schedule.
  • Shipping
  • Verify proper paperwork is present prior to any assets being loaded onto trucks for shipment. Verify the assets and item numbers match what is being shipped.
  • Don't allow truck drivers to remove rack products from the warehouse. All items to be shipped should have prior notice and should be staged at the dock.
  • Make sure all rack product is loaded onto trucks are done in a safe manner following proper procedure to ensure safety and protect from damage during transport.
  • Remove any obsolete tags from assets prior to shipment.
  • Keep the yard area clear. Keep the dock area clean and neat.
  • Report any department that does not provide proper and timely paperwork for shipping EBS assets.
  • Work with Rack manager to prepare and ship new and used racking orders.
  • Perform various duties that are directly or indirectly associated with company activity, as assigned.
  • All rack orders should be banded and shrink wrapped prior to requesting transportation.
  • House keeping
  • Will keep the warehouse and the lot clean free of debris with all equipment parked in neat even rows.
  • Complete assigned housekeeping tasks assigned each day.
  • Safety
  • Will always work in a safe manner following all safety practices and policies of RW.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments.
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.'
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Possess a working knowledge of EBS and MS Excel
  • Present a neat, mature, and responsible appearance.
  • Be willing to work off-hours, after 5PM and before 6AM, and weekends as specific needs dictate.
  • Maintain a professional attitude in all matters.
  • Be motivated to continuous self-development and training.
  • Be willing to assume more responsibility as required.
  • Be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and respond to rapidly varying input requirements.
  • Demonstrate drive, initiative, and self-confidence.
  • Be willing to comply with RW Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain a good attendance record.
  • Be able to manage time effectively with the aid of paper or electronic media.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

  • The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.

Pay Range:

  • The hourly range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
