Position Overview | Working closely with the Associate Dean for Learning and Engagement, this position oversees the day-to-day operations of the Access Services Department, which includes a service desk, circulation, interlibrary loan, and stacks maintenance. Though primarily a daytime position, hours may vary occasionally based on library operating hours and business needs. |

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 5 years of experience providing library reference or a similar type of customer service. Supervisory experience required. Knowledge of current and emerging practices in library access, resource sharing, delivery services, and user services. Evidence of strong commitment to patron service and engagement. Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Experience with integrated library systems and library discovery systems. |
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Experience with assessing services and using evidence to improve operations and services. Experience onboarding new employees and creating a culture of continual learning and improvement. Experience working in an academic library setting. |
