Overview

In this position, you will work closely with natural resources organizations to develop innovative and impactful geo-centric solutions addressing pressing environmental and social challenges. You will do this by providing strategic advisory, project management, consulting, and business development to support initiatives ranging from small-scale projects to large, complex engagements within the United States and internationally.

Our team is dedicated to empowering clients in their mission to safeguard and manage the nation's natural resources and cultural heritage. This includes sustaining the health, diversity, and productivity of agricultural lands, forests, national parks, wildlife reserves, public lands, and watersheds. We support a diverse range of exciting projects, focusing on critical areas such as climate change, endangered species conservation, environmental preservation, water resources, vegetation assessment, and wildland fire resilience and management. In addition, our team actively collaborates with Native American Tribal Governments, contributing to the development of more sustainable communities. In this capacity, we offer support for resource management, transportation, cultural history, economic development, and health and safety initiatives.

Our diverse clientele include scientists, resource managers, policy-makers, GIS professionals, remote sensing experts, planners, biologists, foresters, and geographers. Together, we collaborate to achieve impactful and sustainable outcomes in environmental stewardship, land management, water resources management, and community development.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing and sales teams to develop new business
  • Manage complex projects and programs
  • Support customers with developing meaningful strategies that have long-term business
  • Support novel approaches to implementing Esri's software in support of our customers across multiple industries as the capabilities of the software evolves
  • Foster a sense of community among our customers, distributors, and partners
  • Influence key business processes that can be optimized by leveraging our technology
  • Lead project teams during the entire project lifecycle, including requirements, analysis, design, build, and implementation; collect and organize client requirements, objectives, and business workflows to translate into meaningful and actionable strategies and plans
  • Create and manage the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk management
  • Establish, develop, and expand relationships with customers, partners, and distributors to drive next-gen solutions
  • Work with our marketing and sales teams to develop business into new markets
  • Lead innovative proposals and win work that showcases forward-leaning solutions; mitigate challenges through proper escalation to achieve project and program completion
  • Support the development of others though our network of organizational teams and professional communities

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience supporting the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise geospatial technology (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and/or ArcGIS Platform)
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to technical peers, project managers, and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical solutions
  • Professional experience winning new work in collaboration with sales and business development teams including proposal management experience preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of work, staffing, and pricing
  • Experience leveraging Esri's software capabilities including, mapping, field operations, spatial analysis and data science, 3D visualization and analytics, data management, and developer APIs
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn - you must thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in geography, computer science, GIS, information systems, environmental science, natural resources, forestry, or a related STEM field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
  • Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology
  • Understanding of IT integration concepts such as databases, web services, webhooks, mobile device configurations, web browsers, IT system architecture concepts
  • Master`s Degree in geography, computer science, GIS, information systems, environmental science, natural resources, forestry, or a related STEM field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$93,600$187,200 USD
